Season Summary[]
The 18 castaways were divided into two tribes called Belongatrasha and Chimeroo. Early on, Belongatrasha had difficulties winning challenges due to infighting caused by the alliance Femme Belonga, which was ultimately targeted by the rest of the tribe under the leadership of the Belongatrasha Three, consisting of Michael Stevens, Loafers Dearest, and Shantae. Chimeroo, on the other hand, was marred by an age divide, which reached a head when Jared Knabenbauer sided with the older members at their first tribal council. The two tribes swapped on Day 10, where Chimeroo still continued their dominance in challenges. The Belongatrasha Three maintained their control of Belongatrasha while Bill Nye ultimately worked to unify the new Chimeroo tribe.
On Day 22, the final ten had believed they were about to merge, however it was announced instead that the two tribes would instead be swapping again. This swap separated the Belongatrasha Three for the first time and exposed the cracks in the Chimeroo tribe. When Marie Antoinette was voted out on Day 24, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf felt betrayed because of the tribe's failed unity, resulting in her splitting from the tribe once the two sides merged on Day 26. The Belongatrasha Three was largely unable to survive the merge thanks to the formation of the Predicate Buddies, consisting of Bill Nye, Homestar Runner, and Rolf Klink, though this alliance wasn't permanent. The Predicate Buddies was unable to survive and collapsed in on itself because of how dangerous Homestar's social game would be in the Final Tribal Council, resulting in Bill, Ellen, and Rolf being the last three remaining.
The jury expressed grievances towards all the finalists, with Rolf being criticized for his dour demeanor and poor jury management and Bill being criticized for going back on many of the deals and alliances he made. While the jury was critical of Ellen's strategic game, they respected her social game and her ability to maintain a low profile, allowing her to win the game and become the Sole Survivor by a 5-1-1 vote.
